With these words begins the
story of Orphaned Land and Chen Balbus, the youngest member of the
band, whom I was able to interview on the 14th
of October 2015 in the Colos-Saal
Aschaffenburg. Even though the winsome guitarist was a little sick that
day, he was always on top when I talked to him and later, as he went on stage.

Our topics were, amongst
others, the acoustic-tour together
with Molllust, Germany in
general, the latest album “All Is One”,
why it contains less growls, which language and which song Chen prefers
personally, the peace message’s meaning for Orphaned Land, religious conflicts, the question
whether religion and peace and exist at the same time, a funny backstage story
and the band’s future plans.
Furthermore, there was some information on the new album which will be released
with this year – many reasons to get excited!
